I feel like two posts a day is almost a sin but it's happening (this just makes up for when I go into hiding in the fall)
It's one of those days where I want to announce things to the world  & throw bits of personal information about my life out there.

I got a phone call today...
from somebody who's voice I haven't heard in almost a month.
& it was exactly what the both of us needed.

Dedicated to Pcharms

I need to dedicate a post to a certain friend of mine.
Because it seems like a good day to.
We've been close ever since I moved to good old Ctown.
So about 5 years ago!

Jeremy Prince has ALWAYS been a great listener/advice giver.
He's made me understand so much things in my life so much better.
We have a big ol' pile of memories I could share but I won't...not today.
A couple of years ago we went from hanging out almost every day to slowly stopping hanging out with each other...
our lives went in different directions but one thing NEVER changed
We may not have hung out with each other and had as many laughs as we use to but he ALWAYS remained ready to listen when ever I needed someone to.

There are still some days where he'll text me or call me or even take me out to lunch to catch up with.
Today was one of those day.
He came over and we talked for a couple of hours
He helped me understand things in my life that weren't making much sense.
He gave me the boost I was looking for...he gave me some bravery to do some things I've been avoiding.

Sometimes the best friendships are the ones that don't involve hanging out or talking every day
and I know that in a couple of months when he is gone on his mission no matter what he'll be ready to listen to the things I have to say and shoot advice my way.

Today I just felt really blessed to have a friend like him in my life and I thought I would share that will y'all :)

It's in my blood

I finally had my much needed vacation.
It wasn't long enough at all but that's okay because I'm leaving on vacation again next week!
There's a couple of things I learnt while at the ranch.

  • It's okay to be redneck! Half the time your redneck ways get the job done quicker and better than any other reasonable solution.
  • Some of the weirdest conversations my family has ever had happens while everyone is perfectly sober.
  • You may deny it but sooner or later the redneck in you will come out.
  • There is no avoiding unwanted tanlines. It'll happen, embrace it.
  • Driving gigantic trucks with lifts can change my mood quickly. It's love.
  • No matter how many years or months that go by without seeing each other family will ALWAYS be there for you. They want nothing but to comfort you!
  • Even if you drive thousands of miles away your problems and sorrow still follow, we just gotta learn how to set those thoughts aside.
  • Golf carts are very useful!
  • Don't stand behind a dirtbike in a mud hole...or do! (If you love the mud)
  • If you studied out of the U of L it does not make you a shark expert!
  • If you ain't falling over you are not trying hard enough.
  • When standing on a jetski and your starting to feel a bit scared and your going too fast DO NOT hold onto the throttle as tightly as you can to keep from falling, front flips will happen.
  • Don't let Ty sleep in the middle.
  • Dogs only love you until your food is gone, they move on quickly.
  • I rather be the one leaving than being left, but it still doesn't make anything any easier.

Gots To Get Paid!!!

Meet my summer family!
We spend many late nights together chatting, laughing until we cry, mocking, dancing, singing, eating, cleansing (cayenne pepper drinks), stargazing, sleeping, and did I mention laughing?

Last night we played Laser tag in the junior high...in the dark.
It was INSANE!!!
There was a lot of screaming and climbing up and through things.
Throwing people against lockers (Sorry Spenc)
It was everything our previous Junior High souls always dreamt of.

Fist pump!

I got a letter my first letter from Elder Carter Redford today!
Yippeeeee!
I mean I usually hear from him once a week and know the updates in his life from his emails to his family...but getting a letter from him really did make my day.
He's still his same goofy self and I'm glad he hasn't lost his weird sense of humor.
He decided to write half his letter in french (I don't know why seeing as he's in Australia)
So I'm working on getting that translated...
But overall it made my day and I'm so happy to have heard from him.

Yay for missionaries!!!!!!

You Got Growing Up To Do

You know when your going through a hard time and then you discover a song that describes your situation perfectly?
This would be that song for me.
It gets me every time.
Yet I can't stop listening to it.
