I have this friend,

he's quite special.

His name is Kyle Berthaudin

I've known him for 5 years.

But haven't seen him since I was 14. Yup that's 3 and a half years :(

Which surprises me that we're still such good friends.

So now is about the time I'd like to thank technology, especially today.

I wasn't exactly having the best day, I felt as though one thing after another was going wrong and all I wanted to do was lock myself in my room and stay away from people

& then I get a lovely text message from Kyle and I told him I wasn't having a crappy day and I wasn't really feeling up for texting, so he suggested we skype.

This, my friends, is how our friendship has survived.

Cell phones & skype. 

I could go on and on about him but I'm going to keep things short today, thank you Kyle for turning my day around, love you long time!

Did I mention that he's half french ;) 

Ahh crap...

Oh no...

I'm going to go all crazy fan here for a second. 

I have an obsession for this band.

Hedley would be the name.

I've been a fan ever since I heard their first single on the radio.

I went to a concert of their when they weren't that big and became hooked ever since.

I'll admit I became even more hooked when I found out one of my best friend's in Kelowna is cousins with the lead singer Jacob Hoggard.

What do I like about this band?

Well Jacob Hoggard of coarse :) 

You see he looks like such a punk but he really fools you because his voice is amazing and there is no denying that he has some serious talent.

Plus he plays the piano like a boss and know's how to entertain.

I will never forget that first concert when he came out on stage in his HedleyMan suit. 

Ya that was something else...

Today I was carving pumpkins with the family when I heard on the TV Hedley was preforming live.

I dropped my tools and sat on the ground in front of the TV like a small child.

They surprised me with preforming a new song from their album.

Saaay what?

Yup Jacob did it again. 

He amazed me.

Today is a fine young woman's birthday.

She goes by the name Stephanie Redford.

I love her to death! 

Seeing as I moved around a lot I never really had one friend (besides my sister) that I actually grew up with and had childhood memories with except for this girly! 

About every 2 months I'd travel 10 hours just to be in her presence and I'll be honest she was my idol! I always counted down the years until I was her age and by the time I got there she was 2 years older so I'd count down until then! 

She's 20 today and well...I'm not quite counting down to then yet.

But I don't even feel an age difference between us anymore.

We have so many fun memories together and I can't begin to pick one favorite one.

But I'm so excited for more adventures we'll be sharing with each other. 

We'll be fantastic roommates, I hope ;)

What do you love about Stephy you ask?

Well...I love how she believes she's asian.

I how she doesn't care what anyone thinks about her & does her own thing.

I envy every single one of her awesome T-shirts.

I love how we both share the same love for Justin & Michael.

I love how her hair looks so good short and so good long. 

I love how scared she use to be of my dog. 

I love having movie nights in her bed.

I love how 90% when she's laughing she has tears coming down her face.

I love how she only remembers the belt she wore the day of her first helicopter ride but not the actual flight. 

I generally just love her face. 

I LOVE HOW I WILL SEE HER IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night was Sadies!

I promised pictures so pictures I will reveal.

A little bit of history behind each picture, 

my mom put together a photo scavenger hunt so we had to go around town getting strange pictures so that's why some of these are random

We had to get a picture in a tree, too bad we didn't get a picture of me falling out of the tree shortly afterwards

As Simon would say "we are aaawwwwwesome"


Let me explain my costume now.Simon is Austrian therefore we decided he should go as Arnold Schwarzenegger because he's Austrian also! So Simon's costume was the terminator and mine was Miss California.Some people didn't get this and some did but I'll explain anyways.Good ol' Arnold is the governor of California. (comedy drum roll)

Yesterday a group of guys, a band to be exact (has yet to be named) asked me to take some picture for them. They love the pictures but I'm so picky with the pictures I take so y'all let me know what you think!

They didn't know I was taking picture here. Not exactly sure what they were attempting.

one small act

I wasn't exactly having a bad day, nothing really went wrong.

I was just in a somewhat downer mood.

I guess that would be because I've become pretty stressed lately,

Not the point though.

My point is...

I have an amazing friend. 

We may tease each other non-stop to the point where it looks like we can't stand each other but that's just who we are and what we like. 

This friend took notice today that I didn't exactly have a smile on my face and I wasn't exactly socializing like I usually do. 

Who knew what he did next would change my entire attitude around.

He whipped out his most ugliest/scary/silly face while walking towards me.

I stopped dead in my tracks and a huuuge smile came across my face. 

So I'd like to shout out to that friend of mine.

Thank you for that therapeutic smile, I don't know if I could even call it a smile. 

Whatever it was, thank you. 

Gonna hate

I mind my own business most of the time, 

I don't get involved in peoples drama and I've honestly never really been involved in "drama"

I do my own thing and if people don't like it it really doesn't bother me.

Today I learnt something new.

I have a hate club.

You know the opposite of a fan club.

Don't bother me any.

So a couple of weeks ago I was completely stumped,

Sadies was coming up and I didn't have a clue to ask.

Then I started hanging out with Matt and Simon A LOT and chatting with them and having a jolly good time soooo my friend Leya & I got the brilliant idea to ask both of them to Sadies.

I asked Simon. 

I got him a big bear with a T-shirt on it with a ton of girls names in washable marker and mine in sharpie so of coarse he had to wash it to figure out whom asked him. 

The shirt says Sadies down the side and on the back also had his name in sharpie.

I was kind of proud of my work.

When it came to him replying I was a bit clueless.

I walked into seminary and saw this beauty

and I got soooo excited for the person who was receiving this. I jumped up and down and said "Awwwe someone is getting a reply to sadies!!!!"

I was pretty much drooling over the cake at this point.

Then Brother Walters came running towards me and put a name tag beside it and I stood there in complete shock! IT WAS MINE!! :) Of coarse I shared.

At first I thought Simon was being sarcastic with me through a cake though. Chhh yes? Funny guy.

Then I realized it was like CHS but C H YES.

Punnnny!

Anywho.

The theme is famous duos/couples.

Our costume is brilliant. 

For now it's a secret.

I'll give y'all the short version of my trip because I have sooo many stories and I might bore ya even though there was never a dull moment for me.

I didn't take many (which I regret) I was afraid my camera would die and I knew other people would be taking lots of pictures so I got lazy. That was just horrible thinking on my behalf. 

Anywho! Here are the goodies.

I got on a plane

We flew over the clouds (like most planes do)

Ashley slept like a queer

Arizona was in sight

We stayed in a house in Mesa and swam and had a jolly good time staying up all late and heading out at 4am.

We drove on Route 66 and got a video taken of us from some guy from the small town of us acting all Canadian and what not 

I hiked in these gems. Ohhh so amazing.

This was my buddy for the week. We were stuck like glue.
