& that's when I realized...

Today I mailed a letter, I've never personally sent a letter before so it was a new experience for me. I was excited. Why don't people send letters anymore? I know it's easier to send an email or a text but imagine what a surprise it would be to get a letter in the mail from someone just letting them know how special they are.

As I mailed the letter and walked away and that's when I realized...I'm jealous of a piece of paper. Yeah ridiculous right?
Why am I jealous of this piece of paper? Because it's going somewhere I would really like to be right now.

This is not a laughing matter, but I can't hold it in.

Last night I went to visit my Uncle Mike in the hospital, he just got surgery on his hip.
I love how happy he stays even though he's in a lot of pain.
I love the guy to death and I hope he knows that. He always know how to make people laugh with his extreme sarcasm. He's like another Dad to me. While we were talking to him we could tell he was in a lot of pain but he was acting so silly (I'm guessing it was the drugs). We had a lot of good laughs, he quiet enjoyed telling us some gross stories.
I hope he gets better soon. This better be the last time he's in the hospital or I think we're going to have to name one of the rooms after him.

Love you tons Mike. Keep on staying positive and making others laugh. It's what you do best.

P.S. Char you take such good care of him.

complete.

I finished! I'm actually really surprised that I only missed one day. This last one is hard because honestly I don't know. But here is today's challenge and the final one.

Day 15
Pictures of my dream house
----------------------------------------------------
This could work as a house...right?

Just kidding, Any kinda house works for me. Ask me when I'm older and moved out :P

Day 14
Pictures I love
--------------------------
My dad, he thinks he's cool :)

I fall a lot & that's exactly what happened in this picture. I just learn to laugh about it.

The book of mormon in spanish.

I love Kairi

Jeremy Prince...he's an interesting guy. He enjoys taking pictures at my house.

"i'm innocent"

no comment...

Alberta wind causes...this.

Kayden.

My phone went missing one day and when I found it I also found this picture on it. Austin & Kayden in grade 9. BROMANCE.

Dallin found a pair of shoes just like his, except 10x smaller.

This is one of my favorite pictures, We were at Dallin's house all watching TV and Austin left the room, 10 minutes later he came down stairs with ALL of Dallin's shirts on. That moment reminded me of this comic strip below

It was worth it, so very worth it.

I love the snow, the cold that comes with it I can do without. Yesterday no matter the weather I was going to that football game! We missed kickoff which I heard was pretty great but it was so awesome to get to the stadium and see the score 3-0 for us. We bundled up, brought a million blankets and headed up the bleachers and watched such an amazing game. Our fans were so good, Coach Pierson was pumping up the crowd so much with his little comments that were meant for the team. Carter is like a ninja, our family is so proud of him. I swear I lost all my toes during that game but in my opinion sitting in what felt like -29 weather was so worth it. We won!! So now off to provincials we go next Saturday in Calgary. I hate knowing this is the last time we watch Carter play though, and a lot of the other seniors on the team. You guys have done good :)

"Carter is like a ninja"
Char took this picture, it's one of my favorites.

The rest of our night consisted of getting lost while looking for Little Ceasers Pizza. Purchasing 5 pizza which we all ate our own box. Watching Zoolander at Jeff and Megs house. Taking wrong turns to the Theatre. Waiting in line for Harry Potter for an hour and a half. Which it wasn't that bad at all. There were a lot of my friends there and after goofing around and talking it felt like we were in the within 10 minutes. Harry Potter was great! I've been trying to read as much of the book as I can before the movie, I started when the book first came out. 4 years later and I wasn't finished and forgotten everything I read so I started again. Lucky for me I ready exactly up to where the first part of the movie ends. Unfortunately we never got Cameron to say "rubbish" or "bloody brilliant". Getting sick over night was something I could do without though...

a day, day thirteen.

Day 13
Goals.
-----------------
My goals are to finish High School and have as much fun with High School as I can, after maybe work for a year then go to school to become an X-Ray tech. Getting married someday is something I'd like to do. Then after that have children and live a life I'd be proud of and one with no regrets.

Saturday, November 20, 2010

This is my prediction. Today will be "bloody brilliant"

Yesterday, I liked yesterday. I worked yesterday. That part wasn't very exciting, except when Extra Foods started on fire. That gave me a new hope that I might get out of work. Nope, that hope was lost when the fire was put out. Things got better though when Stephanie and Carter picked me up from work and we enjoyed a case of Barq's Rootbeer and had a Harry Potter marathon. We quiet enjoyed listening to Cameron quote the movie. Who doesn't like a british accent?

Today, I believe that today will be a good day. Why?
I get to drive to Lethbridge with Stephanie Redford and Cameron Dewey and attempt to get Cameron say "bloody brilliant" in his british accent.
I get to watch our Cougars in Lethbridge play in the semi provincial final.
I get to freeze my bum off in -29 with a wind chill weather.
I get to spending the evening with Stephanie, Carter & Cameron after the football game
I get to stay up late watching Harry Potter 7 with many friends.

twelve.

Day 12
What I believe
-------------------------------
I believe that family is the most important thing, and you should never push them away.

I believe that relationships should be avoided until after high school.

I believe if you think something is worth the fight that you should give it all you got.

I believe you should never EVER give up on those you love.

I believe you can change your day around by your attitude.

I believe basketball and football are thee best sports out there.

I believe in Christ:)

I believe there is a reason for everything.

I believe trials are a good thing.

I believe this post is done until I think of other things I believe in ;)

Day 11
Favorite TV shows.
--------------------------
I don't watch TV very often, I just don't have the time and when I do I find it a waste of time. But when I do decide to sit down and watch TV these are my favorite shows.

  • Modern Family
  • The Middle
  • Glee
  • The Big Bang Theory
  • Friends

5 more to go, this is day 10.

Something you are afraid of
---------------------------------------------
I live in Alberta, a lot of wind. Lucky for me one of my fears is strong winds. I have no idea why, I have never had a bad experience with strong winds but the sound of the wind slithering through my bedroom window when I'm trying to sleep and it getting louder and louder terrifies me! Along with the strong wind, tornadoes freak me out too. I've been pretty close to one when I was little, but memories of that are very dim and nothing terrifying happened that I remember. Honestly, I don't know where these fears come from.

Be strong eh.

Remember, be strong for yourself so you can be strong for those you love.

I feel like I've been losing my mind lately, literally. I'm finding it hard to focus. I find my mind often drifting back to the same thing. Many that know me know I'm not a very patient person. I want something and I can't wait to have it, nothing comes fast enough and I often have to remind myself that I need to enjoy the now. Lately I just want November to end, I've never really liked November. I find it's an awkward time between Fall & Winter and I can never decide what I want. I just need to be satisfied with what's going on now and be patient with what I'm waiting for. I'm always telling people that things will work out in the end and if not, it's not the end. Why don't I follow my own advice? Beats me.

tis day 8

Day 8- a place I've traveled to
--------------------------------------------------------
Traveling is something I really love and plan on doing more often once I learn the concept of saving money.

I use to live in BC so I don't know if I should count that as traveling but I have visited there since. I've been to Washington, of coarse Montana, Idaho(x2), Utah, Arizona(x2), California(x2).

The Monashees (where my dad works in BC)

I love to travel with friends and people I love.

more of Idaho

The Grand Canyon. I was to lazy to take pictures while I was in Arizona so this is the only one I have

Cali :)
more of Cali
Please ignore how absolutely ugly this picture is and focus on the guy in the middle. I completely forgot about this moment. This guy is off of CSI-NY. At this point in my life I was very obsessed with CSI so I loved this moment. Seriously stop looking at my face :P

we are men, men in tights.

Day 7- Favorite movies
---------------------------------------
Men in Tights
Hot Rod
A Knight's Tale

My favorite quotes from Men in Tights

Prince John: And why should the people listen to you?
Robin Hood: Because, unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent.

Ahchoo: Hey, Blinkin!
Blinkin: Did you say "Abe Lincoln"?

Robin Hood: And who might you be?
Little John: Oh, they call me Little John. But don't let my name fool you. In real life, I'm very big.
Robin Hood: I'll take your word for it.

Little John: A toll is a toll, and a roll is a roll. And if we don't get no tolls, then we don't eat no rolls. I made that up.

Robin Hood: I lost. I lost? Wait a second, I'm not supposed to lose. Let me see the script.

i'm standing at the back and i'm tired of waiting.

Day 6 -a song that makes me cry or nearly cry.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Down By Jason Walker, it's one of my favorite but I don't play it often because it gets me really down. To me I feel it's a song about waiting on someone and not wanting to give up but it hurting to much.

whoops!

Friday, November 12, 2010

get ready for an ear full, in this case an eye full.

day 4-something i'm looking forward to.

I'm looking forward to December, I really don't like the cold but in December I think it's an exception. I'm looking forward to the white snow sparkling in the moonlight with the reflection of Christmas lights.

I'm looking forward to...a hug.

I'm looking forward to meeting with my knee specialist so I can finally get the darn thing fixed. That also leads to me looking forward to my surgery (which I'm sure when it's comes closer I'll be more nervous than anything).

I'm looking forward to basketball season and watching Carter play his last year.

I'm looking forward to every pay day.

--------------------------------------------------

This isn't about my 15 day challenge, this is just my thoughts.

Relationships in high school, they bug me. They are just an excuse to exclude yourself from your friends and not be yourself around your friends anymore. I've had the comment made to me that I'm just saying that because I don't have a boyfriend. No, that is not it. I've done the whole dating in High School and found it was not worth it. I simply just don't want a relationship and I just want to go through High School having fun. Turns out it's not that simple when everyone around you is just worried about what the boys think and what the girls think. The majority of my good friends are boys and I feel like I'm losing everyone of them to girls. Since when did hanging out always consist of watching movies on end and cuddling?

Letting go, you never know how much you really care for someone until you let them go and no matter how much it hurts you wish them the best of luck, and truly mean it.

Why? Why is it everyday I trip over the same step while walking up the stairs? Just wonderin'

It's crazy how much you can miss one person.

I'm probably sounding like a complete downer, I just need to let my thoughts out. My main goal is just to have fun and live in the moment. I'm not going to be young forever and all I want is to save being too serious for when it's time.

mayhem happened all because two people fell in love. (tis day 3)

Day 3, my siblings & parents.
My older sister Mackenzie, she may not look older than me but it is true. She is older by 30 seconds.
She's a goof ball, her brain doesn't always work right but she likes to remind me that I'm just as bad. She likes to mother me, and my mom likes to say she quits being my mom and just wants to be my friend so I guess someone has to do the mothering and that's this one right here.

My little but taller brother. Harmon, He likes to think he's funny. Just kidding he kind of is at times. When you can get him off the Xbox he can be a ton of fun to hang out with. He's very artistic and loves to design things. He painted me a picture and hung it up in my room. It's pretty neat. Me and him are the longboarders in the family.

My littlest brother Parker, yikes. It would be best not to get me started but I've already begun so...
He likes to think that it's his way, no highway option. If you lend him something you know that you'll never see it again. He use to never talk. Me and my sister taught him how to walk and that was something my mom didn't want done. When it happened though well we all regretted it. He's 10 years old now and he finally talks to us and sometimes I think we wish he didn't. We love him to pieces though cause he makes all of us laugh a lot. Even when we're most frusterated with him.

The dog, Fonzie. He's the devil if anyone has ever met him. But when he warms up to you he's pretty decent. The older he gets the stupider he gets that's for sure. He enjoys sliding on the hard wood floor and what not. He's pretty smart though. The other day my dad gave him an apple piece and he stuck it in his mouth and dropped it and my dad told him to eat it. He put it back in his mouth and my dad turned away and he heard it drop on the floor again. He turned around and Fonzie put his paw over the apple so my dad wouldn't see that he tried getting rid of it again.

Now the parents, Cody and Andrea...
Mayhem happened all because two people fell in love.
Just kidding, a lot of people think that my mom is my older sister. She loves it when people say that. Not a lot of people know my dad because he's at work most of the time. He's a helicopter pilot, which I think is the coolest job ever. My mom is a teacher's aid. I'm pretty sure she likes it, she always comes home with crazy stories. My mom is the blondie of the family, we like to crack blonde jokes to her because most of them apply to her. We all like to mock her, and scare her.

made new

I had to do a project for young woman's in excellence, you know how those go. You have an idea and you get told 2 months in advance it's coming up and then you procrastinate then the day before comes and you have to whip something up. Okay well maybe that's just me, I don't know. But I made this shirt. Well okay I didn't make the shirt part of it but I turned 3 old shirts into 1 new one. The picture doesn't do it justice, my camera doesn't work and it was a dark picture to take on my phone but here is the result.

tis day 2.

Day 2
Something that stresses me out,
What has been really stressing me out lately is saving money, I know that I only have 2 more years left of high school and I'll be moving away and either going to school or working. Money is really is a stress to me right now though I just feel like when the time comes when I do move out I'll be ten times more stressed about money. I really suck at saving money.

tis a challenge.

I'm stealing this from Ranae, I'm going to give it a try. I am a forgetful person and I'm always keeping busy so we'll see how far I get.

Day 1-Self portrait picture, and 15 interesting facts
Day 2- Something that stresses you out
Day 3-Your siblings and parents
Day 4- Something you're looking forward to
Day 5- pictures of things that make you happy
Day 6 — A song that makes you cry {or nearly and why}
Day 7-Favorite movies
Day 8-A place you've traveled to
Day 9- Put your iPod on shuffle, first 10 songs
Day 10-Something you're afraid of
Day 11-Favorite tv shows
Day 12-What you believe
Day 13-Goals
Day 14-Some pictures you love
Day 15-Pictures of your Dream house

So here's my Day 1

This is me, Kiara Jeleen Marsh
15 interesting facts about me, well some say I'm an interesting person but personally I think I'm not.
Here we go though...

1. I have a twin sister, I guess that's pretty interesting eh? Not many people leave the womb and have one of your best friends follow.

2. I love to travel, when I was little the road trips to Alberta from Kelowna were my favorite. Now that we've moved here we don't go places much but I have been to Idaho, Utah, California, Arizona, Washington. I want to get to as many states as I can. Most people say they want to go to all of the states but honestly some just don't interest me.

3. I get really obsessed during football or basketball season. To the point where I get depressed when it's all over. Kind of pathetic I know, but hey I'm in High School what else do I have to do?

4. I love being around my extended family, we get too loud (I guess when you have 60 first cousins that tends to happen). We all have to try and speak over each other but I love every minute of it.

5. I've moved to many times to count. I'm pretty sure I've never lived some where for more than 5 years. I'm on my 4th year in Cardston so hopefully it stays that way.

6. My mom say I am witty, but I have the randomest wittiest comments

7. I'm very accident prone, that might be an understatement. But I don't know how to explain getting hit by a car twice in one week and jumping off a cliff and hitting shallow water, and tearing ligaments in my ankle and tearing the cartilage in my knee all in one year.

8. I love scaring my mom, her scream is deadly but I get a good laugh at it everytime.

9. I don't really like to watch TV, it's rare to see me sitting in front of a TV watching for my own pleasure.

10. I love to sing, I probably suck and make people want to cover their ears and yell "SHUT UPP!!!" but I still love to sing. (seriously sorry if my voice bothers you)

11.  I can talk to anybody, I don't believe in awkward moments. Things are only as awkward as you make them. Trying saying awkward at the end of each sentance. It really makes the other person feel awkward.

12. I think I'm just figuring out I have an obsession with boots.

13. When people tell me I can't do something I HAVE to prove them wrong

14. This will seem ridiculous but twins scare me. I hate it when they stand side by side and they are so identical you can't tell them apart. Just freaky stuff. I honestly think me and my sister don't look that much alike but oh well, argue with me about it. They still freak me out.

15. I suck at sleeping in, I really can't do it. Sleeping in for me is 8:30-9. I hate wasting the day, even if I do end up spending all of it laying around.

A letter.

It's hard to watch people change right in front of you. But it's even harder remembering who they used to be.

Dear Friend,
I think I've been in denial for awhile now, watching you change over time. I've been telling myself that nothing is different, things are how they always have been. Today I took a step back and looked at the big picture. Remembered the past, and what is happening right now and realized that you aren't at all who you use to be, there are moments when the old you gives me a surprise visit and things are good, but faster than you came you leave again. I've been there for you through everything and I'm wondering, I'm not ready to let go, but I've been hurting to much. When is it enough? When do I give up. It's hard watching you change in front of me, and even harder remembering who you use to be. The only thing I have left to do is pray for the strength to change what I CAN change, courage to endure what I CAN'T change, and the wisdom to see the difference.

-Kiara J.

If you feel it's worth the fight, give it all you got.

remember as far as anyone knows we're a nice normal family.

We took some family pictures today, usually we have one grumpy person and they never turn out but we actually had a lot of fun with it and goofed around a ton. Here are some of my favorites.
