ten: day in the life of today
Today?
Can I talk about yesterday?...
no.
Okay...well today.
Every other Saturday I work at the Bargain Barn and today everyone decided to empty out their houses and have me deal with it.
It was very stressful and my job is NEVER stressful.
But today should get better!
I'll be heading to Whoop Up days with a group of my friends.
I went last night for the first time in my life and it was AMAAAAZING.
Mostly because Kayden got hypnotized and it made my entire night.
I couldn't help but buy the DVD because that kid was hilarious.
I wonder if it's possible to post the funniest parts.
Oh it was good!
I cried.
So much laughter!
(Like how I somehow talked about yesterday? Sneaky? I think not...)

Well as the Black Eyed Peas would say...
Tonight's gunna be a good night.

Me and four others.
Charlie Weston
Colton Quinton
Harmon Marsh
& Aaron Kennard
decided we wanted to hike Crypt Lake today.
We had a boat to catch at a certain hour so we loaded up early.
Aaron wasn't quite aware of that so when he got in the truck and I announced that "I can't wait to catch a FERRY today" he took it as in the magical creature...a fairy.
The look he gave me.

ANYWAYS.
Here's some pictures from our adventures.

The floating device that's suppose to save our lives if we sunk.
All you had to do was simply unscrew it and then untie it.
If the boat was sinking we'd have plenty of time right?

Aaron's "I'm on a boat" face.

Baby got front!

Aaron's "I've got a plan" face

My "that's a freakin' tunnel" face

Colton's "I'm kind of concerned about the situation face"

"4/5 of us will die in this tunnel, this tunnel shows who's men and who's a boy"-Aaron

We were climbing across a ledge with only a rope to hold onto....cool right?

"I'm just going to hug this tree and pretend like there isn't a 700ft drop in front of me"

Yes, we had a snowball fight. Typical Canadians eh?

Our destination. Crypt Lake my friends.
Aaron was a bit disappointed when we didn't find any "fairies" at the end.

Yesterday Yesterday.

Yesterdays was one epic summer day.
I kind of hate the word epic.
People use it too much but I didn't know how else to describe yesterday.
A lot of exciting events took place.

Event #1
Anywho!
I got off work (YIPPEEE!)
Walked to the campground to visit Colton until he got off work.
Then we picked a bunch of hooligans up and made our way to the crik.
We thought we'd just be walking to some swimming hole but NOPE
we hiked, jumped off ledges, slid down hills.
Got stuck in mud...
by the time we got to our destination we were sweating like none other
you see...
according to Colton's truck it was 37 degrees out.
Yup...and this is Cardston we're talking about!!
By the time we got to our spot, which was the edge of a cliff we couldn't bare the heat anymore sooo...
we all jumped.
All 8 of us...one after the other.
THEN!
(I'm still so excited about this event!)
We kept swimming down the creek and discovered a waterfall...and a natural waterslide.
Let me tell you...
PAINFUL...but FUN...so very painful..but WOW!
There was this point where you sit down like on any other waterslide then the current takes you...it's peaceful then BAM!
Your going under water...going FAST coming back up for air..hitting rocks!
Then the end comes and you go down the waterfall.
Once you hit the bottom it seriously feels like you'll never come up and you panic a little bit.
Then you come up, all chat about how amazingly painful that was and then..
DO IT AGAIN!

That was seriously the most amazing swimming hole I have ever been to.

Event #2
After swimming
Colton, Aaron, Austin, & I went quading.
We raced.
I may or may not have gotten last place.
That was fun.

We then played kinect.
I beat Austin in boxing.
Enough said.

We got so sweaty we went swimming again.
We found a dead fish.
The boys were so freaked out about it.
Austin was practically crying when it touched his back.

I have awesome friends,
why?
They don't wanna grow up.
I'm okay with that!
I don't either.
We may have found sticks and while quading home we may have pretended we had wands and were fighting each other.
I loved it.

Event #3
When it got dark out we then watched a scary moving in the loft of a barn.
I don't handle scary movies well.
Or scary places...
so.
Ya.

Event #4
I woke up very late at night feeling like someone was watching me (stupid scary movies)
I opened my eyes and almost died.
There was my mother, hovering over me.
Staring.
RUDE.

Taken aback.

Yesterday, July the 14th was good to me.
-I didn't have to work
-I was bored so decided to run to Waterton with some people
-I got a text message from someone I didn't think I'd be talking to for approximately 3 weeks (I just love it when he surprises me like that)
-Found a majority of my friends in Waterton playing basketball.
-I had ice cream (finally got satisfy my craving)
-When I came back home 2 lovely people whom I have not seen in quite awhile decided to plaster their faces against my basement window.
-We had a spontaneous Harry Potter Party.
-Christian shared his candy with me.
-Kayden's mom let me steal a jar of her salsa (AMAAAAZING)
-I got sat on by 2 boys whom love to pester me (weird how that kind of made me happy eh?)

Overall I just liked yesterday.
May sound lame to you but it was a great day.
Especially since I thought I wouldn't be doing a thing.

I'm the king of the castle!

It was hot out
So we swam, all afternoon and evening long.
The water was nice
We wanted to do something else for a bit.
We started a fire on the beach,
ate some wieners.
Then we got an amazing idea.

We built this lovely. Yes it is as big as it looks!

These right here are the builders! You may call us professionals if you'd like.

These are the rascals we spent the entire day with.

Then we started it on fire.

The end.

P.S.
I discovered this jaw while snorkling.

An understatement

Well, mud.
Ya I've got some stories about that stuff.
In the most before when I mentioned getting a "little" mud on the tires...well little did I know that that was the biggest understatement.

It didn't take us long at all to become acquainted.
You see there is this boy.
His name is Morgan Merrill, you may know him?
Well not even two minutes after we got on his quad did he decide we needed a little mud on us, now when I say a little that is another understatement.
My friends, I my skin color changed!
There was not a piece of visible skin on me, or him.
We were so slippery with muddy goodness that I could hardly hang onto him until the sun made him a dried up mud monster.
Lovely I know! But really it was.
I had a lot of fun, that boy knows how to give someone a wild ride.
Y'all should have seen the faces I was pulling every time we'd hit a jump.
YIKES!
I wish we got some pictures, but we were just having way to much fun for that.
I have a billion fun stories to tell but I you know you kind of had to be there.

We won 2 contests that day, the muddiest and the fastest.
Yup, twas an amazing day.

P.S.
A little advice to you ladies out there looking for a Prince, do not kiss a frog they really don't turn into one. I'm sure there are more sanitary ways of finding a dude than this! (Morg told me & Charlie to do it)

Mmmmud

I was going to wait and write a post after the occasion but the truth is I'm just way to excited!
Today I will be mudding with 8 amazing peoples. School will officially be out for me and I don't work tomorrow so this means....

PARTY PARTY PARTY!
Oh how I can't wait to squish my toes in the mud and throw a couple bodies in them mud holes.
Thanks you sunshine for being so hot against my skin!

I don't think there can be a better way to kick off the summer than getting a little mud on the tires.

Say whaaaat?

I think maybe I'm in shock at the moment.

You see today I finished my last day of school, yup I am finished Grade 11. The thing is though it went by a bit too fast. I was trying to reflect on the whole year and I could barely remember the last few weeks let alone the entire year! Don't get me wrong I am beyond ready for the summer. I was just starting not to care about classes. (My attendance records in the past 2 weeks can prove it) I don't think I'm ready for missing people though, but yet again when are we ever ready for that?

Another thing I'd like to add! I quite enjoy cuddling up in a blanket and a book and reading outside during a thunderstorm.

What's it to ya!?

For the past week the weather has been amazing! Summerlike. So I've been wearing flip flops every day and I actually wore shorts one day. I've been getting tons of comments like "Why are you wearing flip flops it's not summer!?" "Where's your shoes?" Anyone who knows me knows that I don't like shoes, love buying them, love the look of them but hate wearing them. If I can get away with it I'll go barefoot everywhere. A couple days ago I was playing basketball outside with my brother and every time I've attempted to go barefoot the cement was way to cold and I could only last a few seconds. Well this evening I found it quiet warm on my feet. So what if I don't wear shoes, it ain't hurting you. Only person it could possibly hurt is me and I got tough feet.

Now that I'm done writing this I find it kind of weird that I'm writing about feet...oh well. That's me for ya ;)
