Me and four others.
Charlie Weston
Colton Quinton
Harmon Marsh
& Aaron Kennard
decided we wanted to hike Crypt Lake today.
We had a boat to catch at a certain hour so we loaded up early.
Aaron wasn't quite aware of that so when he got in the truck and I announced that "I can't wait to catch a FERRY today" he took it as in the magical creature...a fairy.
The look he gave me.

ANYWAYS.
Here's some pictures from our adventures.

The floating device that's suppose to save our lives if we sunk.
All you had to do was simply unscrew it and then untie it.
If the boat was sinking we'd have plenty of time right?

Aaron's "I'm on a boat" face.

Baby got front!

Aaron's "I've got a plan" face

My "that's a freakin' tunnel" face

Colton's "I'm kind of concerned about the situation face"

"4/5 of us will die in this tunnel, this tunnel shows who's men and who's a boy"-Aaron

We were climbing across a ledge with only a rope to hold onto....cool right?

"I'm just going to hug this tree and pretend like there isn't a 700ft drop in front of me"

Yes, we had a snowball fight. Typical Canadians eh?

Our destination. Crypt Lake my friends.
Aaron was a bit disappointed when we didn't find any "fairies" at the end.

Nights that mean the most.

I have problems,
yes sir I do.
Little issues going on in my life that I just can't control.
It's okay though.
All I gots to do is wait it out.

I find the best cure for waiting for something is helping others out and realizing that my problems just ain't that big.
Though they suck, I am thankful that  it's the only problem I have.

Last night a good pal of mine whom I haven't talked to for quite awhile sent me a text message at midnight.
I had a busy day and all I wanted to do was sleep but clearly he needed someone to talk to.
So I woke myself up and chatted with him.
I can't say I solved his problems.
No one can solve anyones problems.
They can give advice but never solve.
I just felt the relief he felt when he got everything out.
I was happy he chose me to discus his future with.
He's not really a serious guy and few people see the side of him I often do.
I like that.
Late night conversations are usually the ones that mean the most.
It was in those couple of hours that my mind was completely blank and clear from all my problems.

Yesterday Yesterday.

Yesterdays was one epic summer day.
I kind of hate the word epic.
People use it too much but I didn't know how else to describe yesterday.
A lot of exciting events took place.

Event #1
Anywho!
I got off work (YIPPEEE!)
Walked to the campground to visit Colton until he got off work.
Then we picked a bunch of hooligans up and made our way to the crik.
We thought we'd just be walking to some swimming hole but NOPE
we hiked, jumped off ledges, slid down hills.
Got stuck in mud...
by the time we got to our destination we were sweating like none other
you see...
according to Colton's truck it was 37 degrees out.
Yup...and this is Cardston we're talking about!!
By the time we got to our spot, which was the edge of a cliff we couldn't bare the heat anymore sooo...
we all jumped.
All 8 of us...one after the other.
THEN!
(I'm still so excited about this event!)
We kept swimming down the creek and discovered a waterfall...and a natural waterslide.
Let me tell you...
PAINFUL...but FUN...so very painful..but WOW!
There was this point where you sit down like on any other waterslide then the current takes you...it's peaceful then BAM!
Your going under water...going FAST coming back up for air..hitting rocks!
Then the end comes and you go down the waterfall.
Once you hit the bottom it seriously feels like you'll never come up and you panic a little bit.
Then you come up, all chat about how amazingly painful that was and then..
DO IT AGAIN!

That was seriously the most amazing swimming hole I have ever been to.

Event #2
After swimming
Colton, Aaron, Austin, & I went quading.
We raced.
I may or may not have gotten last place.
That was fun.

We then played kinect.
I beat Austin in boxing.
Enough said.

We got so sweaty we went swimming again.
We found a dead fish.
The boys were so freaked out about it.
Austin was practically crying when it touched his back.

I have awesome friends,
why?
They don't wanna grow up.
I'm okay with that!
I don't either.
We may have found sticks and while quading home we may have pretended we had wands and were fighting each other.
I loved it.

Event #3
When it got dark out we then watched a scary moving in the loft of a barn.
I don't handle scary movies well.
Or scary places...
so.
Ya.

Event #4
I woke up very late at night feeling like someone was watching me (stupid scary movies)
I opened my eyes and almost died.
There was my mother, hovering over me.
Staring.
RUDE.

I'm the king of the castle!

It was hot out
So we swam, all afternoon and evening long.
The water was nice
We wanted to do something else for a bit.
We started a fire on the beach,
ate some wieners.
Then we got an amazing idea.

We built this lovely. Yes it is as big as it looks!

These right here are the builders! You may call us professionals if you'd like.

These are the rascals we spent the entire day with.

Then we started it on fire.

The end.

P.S.
I discovered this jaw while snorkling.

An understatement

Well, mud.
Ya I've got some stories about that stuff.
In the most before when I mentioned getting a "little" mud on the tires...well little did I know that that was the biggest understatement.

It didn't take us long at all to become acquainted.
You see there is this boy.
His name is Morgan Merrill, you may know him?
Well not even two minutes after we got on his quad did he decide we needed a little mud on us, now when I say a little that is another understatement.
My friends, I my skin color changed!
There was not a piece of visible skin on me, or him.
We were so slippery with muddy goodness that I could hardly hang onto him until the sun made him a dried up mud monster.
Lovely I know! But really it was.
I had a lot of fun, that boy knows how to give someone a wild ride.
Y'all should have seen the faces I was pulling every time we'd hit a jump.
YIKES!
I wish we got some pictures, but we were just having way to much fun for that.
I have a billion fun stories to tell but I you know you kind of had to be there.

We won 2 contests that day, the muddiest and the fastest.
Yup, twas an amazing day.

P.S.
A little advice to you ladies out there looking for a Prince, do not kiss a frog they really don't turn into one. I'm sure there are more sanitary ways of finding a dude than this! (Morg told me & Charlie to do it)

Mmmmud

I was going to wait and write a post after the occasion but the truth is I'm just way to excited!
Today I will be mudding with 8 amazing peoples. School will officially be out for me and I don't work tomorrow so this means....

PARTY PARTY PARTY!
Oh how I can't wait to squish my toes in the mud and throw a couple bodies in them mud holes.
Thanks you sunshine for being so hot against my skin!

I don't think there can be a better way to kick off the summer than getting a little mud on the tires.

B-I-O

Today I planned on studying for my Bio exam tomorrow (LAST EXAM!)
I got up early, showered and made my way to the school and got Mr.Janisko to quiz me, my sister, and Charlie. Well after that instead of locking ourselves in a room and studying the rest of the day we decided to study the real deal. So we took a trip to Lethbridge and called this studying. Well I did learn a few things that you just might not learn in a classroom
Like...

-Woman should think twice about wearing a short skirt and bending over, let's just say I saw a bit to much of a stranger today...I'll leave it at that.
-Mosquitos will continue to bite you even if you do bite back
-Do not attempt to speak Japanese to a Japanese person
-Don't wear clothing that confuses old woman, they ask to many questions.
- (This is not something I learnt but something everyone in the vehicle learnt) DO NOT TOUCH KIARA'S TIMBITS!
-Do not shove chopsticks up your nose in attempt of "becoming a walrus" side effects may involve a bloody nose
-Don't dance around parking lots when there are Hutterites around, they really start to believe us white folk are possessed
-Do not attempt Kung Fu moves around people you think don't know any moves because they might surprise you and you may or may not end up on the floor with the wind knocked out of you (Thank you Christian Burton for not telling me you were in Martial Arts)
-Do not suggest to play a game to torture others if you do not want to be tortured.
-Don't start giving a massaging and stop 2 seconds later thinking the person would be okay with that..."NO YOU KEEP GOING OR I WILL...."
-When it comes to actually studying do not answer a question incorrectly around Burton because he WILL make sure you will remember to get it right the NEXT time...
--The last thing I learnt and I ask myself, why do I not have a camera!?---

&& my last bio note for the day

No explanation

This post needs no explanation at all.
Yes that is my mother to the right of me.

I got a feeling

I most definitely have a feeling this week will be a good one. Ok! I'll start from the beginning.

A lot of people know that I get super bitter when I come home after a trip because I don't enjoy leaving one bit. But after all that bitterness is gone I get super excited. Even though I was gone for only a weekend I did miss a select few of my friends. So what gets me so excited when I get back? Seeing that certain someone you miss. (WHAT KIARA HAS A CRUSH ON SOMEONE!?!?) False. I do have a really good friend though that I can't help missing. It's just been too long since we've hung out so seeing that persons face put a huge smile on my face. So that made my day.

Okay this is why this week is going to be so grand.
-It started off great with Rugby, I really liked today! Though my knee decided to act up today while running and I was super disappointed in myself for not being able to run the last lap it was still an excellent practice. I love tackling, and that was our main focus today.

-I don't work until Thursday so this means Kiara time! Time for me to do whatever I want, starting with going to the boys Rugby game tomorrow, I haven't seen them play since their first game so I'm really excited to see how they play now. This also means time with some pretty awesome guys!

-Pirates 4 comes out on Friday (I LOVE PIRATES! Plus I'm a huge Johnney Depp fan) This also means a movie night out with some pretty fantastic people. Though this might sound extremely odd I work on Friday which makes me kind of excited, only because me and Christian haven't worked together forever so guarantee I can actually bare working that night.

So yeah, I'm pretty content with this week. Even if things don't work out as I planned I'm sure I can figure another way to make it grande :)

(I really need to start taking more picture to put on my posts)

Go insane, go insane!

This past week was one I hope I remember forever. No, I didn't have a life changing experience.
Lately I've come to realize that I would way rather have amazing little experiences than one HUGE life changing experience. Though huge experiences are more noticeable I've learnt that just the little things can be 10x better once you keep a look out for them.

I'll just summarize my week for ya :)

The little things that made me smile:

  • having 3 days off
  • going to Fort Mac to watch/support the Cardston boys playing rugby there
  • watching Christian taking a guy out and re-enacting it over and over
  • Visiting Christian at work and quoting Julian Smith videos
  • Playing soccer in the rain
  • Attempting to study with Briggs & Christian
  • Re-enacting Hot Rod fight scenes during the power outage with Christian
  • Lighting candles
  • Going to 2 amazing dances (Car Wash, Priest/Laurel)
  • Getting bruises from moshing
  • Jacob's singing while dancing
  • Christian's obsession with Justin Bieber
  • Dancing to the Numa-Numa song with Carter just like the old days
  • Getting a text from Carter asking if I made it home safe (what an awesome cousin)
  • Getting cobra smacked in the face by a french kid & Carter
  • Skyping with Kayden
  • Sending strange sleep texts
  • Watching the 7 Harry's over and over
  • Deciding to go to Rugby Spring Camp
  • Finding out I'll actually be leaving Cardston for Spring Break
  • Talking to Christian's dad about all the different kinds of Pineapples and Bananas there are (made me want to add something on my bucketlist)
  • Did I mention the dance in the Car Wash!?
  • PIE! (that's all I really need to say about that)
  • Ice cube fight
  • Sleeping on the couch (I love sleeping on the couch)

Better Together

I was going to wait until the video was uploaded and ready to show to the world but I'm just way to excited! Why? Well here's a short story for ya.

Last night I got a call from Christian Burton begging me to go over to Briggs' house to listen to them sing and express my HONEST opinion on how they sound and to help them fix anything they need changed. Well I was out the door before he hung up and on my way. Thinking I was only going to be there for half an hour tops I found myself there for 3 hours listening to them sing this song over and over. It only got better and better and got me more and more excited for the talent show. It was so much fun jamming out with them and singing obnoxiously.

Today we planned on skipping 3rd period and practicing more and they asked Fielding if he wanted to sing with them. Long story short Christian and Fielding complete each other. Let's just say they sound Better Together ;) As soon as the video is on youtube I'll post it. I'm just not a very patient person. GET EXCITED!

You can't go looking for it.

I got home late last night from hanging out with some guys and found my bed a mess! Stripped sheets and blankets everywhere. Then I was informed that Dallin and Aaron decided to jump on my bed and do who knows what else to mess up my room during my absence. You can't go looking for friends like these. This probably might sound dumb to some but I love these guys, they have always been there for me (even when I'm not around, literally) and strangely coming home to a messed up room because they wanted to make show they were there just puts a smile on my face.

Life's a party.

You don't need a reason to have a party, that's what we did in Bio. Had a party for no reason at all...waffles, whipped cream, raspberries, and chocolate milk. You cannot go wrong there.

There's something about putting a party hat that just puts you in instant party mood. It was just a party kind of day, and it didn't end when we took the hats off. It was a good day all around. Maybe I should wear a party hat every day...?

Unsettling

I find myself a bit unsettled at the thought that I just can't find the time to care anymore.

No I'm not saying I don't care about life anymore and I'm careless. It's something else. A friend.
This friend of mine cares too much about what others think about what they do, who they hang out with. This friend says that they don't care but I can see it through their actions that that's all they do is care. I've slowly slipped out of this friends life. I noticed they just didn't care about my thoughts or opinions so I just make the choice to slip away. I've kept myself so busy with friends who I LOVE to be around.

I spent the weekend with a group of guys I have hung out with since I moved here and a group of guys who I only talk to at school. They didn't seem to care if we ever hang out or not. We had a good time and made sure everyone was included. Even those who really really do not get the whole idea of Monopoly Deal (me).
The mind is it's own beautiful prisoner, you can't hide the truth from it. You may question why you feel the way you do but we all know the answer before we even ask the question. Whenever I do end up alone and stuck in my own thoughts I do think about this friend and what happened and it was time for me to admit that I already know. Yes, I miss the way things use to be but the hurt wasn't good for me, I had to stop acting like things were okay. & things are okay for me now, I've excepted that some come and go. It's just moments like these where I realize who has been there all along.

Many might not know this but I love taking pictures. I'm no expert. But the reason I love taking pictures is this...the picture never changes, even when the people in it do.
