Taken aback.

Yesterday, July the 14th was good to me.
-I didn't have to work
-I was bored so decided to run to Waterton with some people
-I got a text message from someone I didn't think I'd be talking to for approximately 3 weeks (I just love it when he surprises me like that)
-Found a majority of my friends in Waterton playing basketball.
-I had ice cream (finally got satisfy my craving)
-When I came back home 2 lovely people whom I have not seen in quite awhile decided to plaster their faces against my basement window.
-We had a spontaneous Harry Potter Party.
-Christian shared his candy with me.
-Kayden's mom let me steal a jar of her salsa (AMAAAAZING)
-I got sat on by 2 boys whom love to pester me (weird how that kind of made me happy eh?)

Overall I just liked yesterday.
May sound lame to you but it was a great day.
Especially since I thought I wouldn't be doing a thing.

I We Todd Did

Read my title out loud.
Do you get it?
Well...that's exactly how I feel after yesterday.
I did a few stupid things yesterday
Some were fun, some were plain torture.
Yes I do have a list.
(If you want to avoid some boring stories you can look at the pretty pictures)
;)

I stayed up until 6 in the morning got an hour and a half of sleep then went to work at 9
While at work I couldn't find the debit button, I had to call for help.
Turns out it was the biggest button on the till with big bold letters it stared and me and laughed
DEBIT
While at work for some reason I assumed I worked 8 hours.
9-6.
Well...this morning I looked at my schedule and turns out I was only suppose to work 4 hours.
That right there made me so angry!!!

Second stupid thing.
After work I went to Colton's house with Mackenzie & Charlie and we decided to go quading.
I was a little bit hyper and figured out I cannot talk and drive because apparently I use my hands while I talk a tad too much. Well while I was talking we lost Colton and Mackenzie so I started driving in circles and finally I saw Colton standing at the top of a hill. Well I was too busy talking to him and I didn't quite realize (though Charlie was yelling in my ear) that we were rolling down a very very steep hill and Colton kept yelling to turn to the less steeper part. Luckily I did do just that before I killed someone.
See that wasn't too stupid, but that is where the stupidity of the evening did kick in.

THIRD! (Not really stupid but fun!)
We decided to climb some cliffs, Colton wanted to get some pictures of us sitting on the cliff.
I wanted to climb down them instead...Mackenzie kept getting mad cause I was freaking her out.
So we went to some more cliffs on the other side of the river, me and Colton decided we wanted to go check out a cave which involved some rock climbing. We decided to go barefoot because we had better grip then. Little did we know there were tiny thorns sitting in the sand and rock. OUCH!
After we checked out the cave and made our way back to the quads I decided I wasn't done climbing, So I thought I'd climb over one cliff and to the other side where the quads were and make my way down. Half way down the other side I clued in that there was no way I was going to make it down and I started to FREAK OUT! I tried scooting to a less steep spot but if every time I tried I slipped a little bit more. Finally Colton and Charlie stood at the bottom of the ledge and told me to let my feet drop, I did and holy crap did I scream! I kept picture myself falling flat on my face and breaking multiple bones. Finally I just jumped! Yup...I jumped. No water below. I obviously didn't learn from last summer right?
Luckily Colton and Charlie caught me, I don't think I started breathing again for a good 10 minutes.

I think that's the end of my stupidity stories.
The rest of the night was fun, we built a fire on the beach and swam in the dark and I fell asleep beside the fire which was lovely!

PICTURE TIME!!!!

A Split Second

This morning I had to make a split second decision, you know those ones you see in movies where you really don't think at all you just instantly say what your heart tells you.
Yup, it was quite the moment.

Let me fill you in.
I woke up this morning,
ate breakfast
curled up in a blanket
read a book
drank hot chocolate

The phone rang!
Kiara: "Hello?"
Dude on the other end: "Hey! It's Mr.Janisko!"
Kiara: "HEY!"
Janisko: "Wanna go to Arizona in October with a bunch of people for a Bio Trip, Come to the school right now and I'll go through some details"
Kiara: "Alright"

So I made my way to the school and right on the spot he tells me that I need to make a decision on the spot because the plane tickets were going fast. So without even thinking I said "HECK YES!"

So I booked them tickets, I am pleased to announce October 5th I will be getting on a plane and heading to Mesa, Arizona then making my way to Havasupai Trail doing a wicked long hike and camping. I heard it's amazing and I love hiking so this is great!!! Another bonus is we're spending a night in Vegas. Wicked eh!?

Here are some pictures!

Would you look at that!? Just look at it!

B-I-O

Today I planned on studying for my Bio exam tomorrow (LAST EXAM!)
I got up early, showered and made my way to the school and got Mr.Janisko to quiz me, my sister, and Charlie. Well after that instead of locking ourselves in a room and studying the rest of the day we decided to study the real deal. So we took a trip to Lethbridge and called this studying. Well I did learn a few things that you just might not learn in a classroom
Like...

-Woman should think twice about wearing a short skirt and bending over, let's just say I saw a bit to much of a stranger today...I'll leave it at that.
-Mosquitos will continue to bite you even if you do bite back
-Do not attempt to speak Japanese to a Japanese person
-Don't wear clothing that confuses old woman, they ask to many questions.
- (This is not something I learnt but something everyone in the vehicle learnt) DO NOT TOUCH KIARA'S TIMBITS!
-Do not shove chopsticks up your nose in attempt of "becoming a walrus" side effects may involve a bloody nose
-Don't dance around parking lots when there are Hutterites around, they really start to believe us white folk are possessed
-Do not attempt Kung Fu moves around people you think don't know any moves because they might surprise you and you may or may not end up on the floor with the wind knocked out of you (Thank you Christian Burton for not telling me you were in Martial Arts)
-Do not suggest to play a game to torture others if you do not want to be tortured.
-Don't start giving a massaging and stop 2 seconds later thinking the person would be okay with that..."NO YOU KEEP GOING OR I WILL...."
-When it comes to actually studying do not answer a question incorrectly around Burton because he WILL make sure you will remember to get it right the NEXT time...
--The last thing I learnt and I ask myself, why do I not have a camera!?---

&& my last bio note for the day

Pizza, Playgrounds, & Pirates make for a Perfect Party!

I think it'll take me awhile to recover from last night. It was something else! Spontaneously I decided to plan a trip to Lethbridge to go and see Pirates of the Caribbean 4. From past experiences when I plan things they don't usually work out how I want them too but it's not a bad thing because they always end up 10x better!

I got off work and waiting at home until Christian could get into town he came over and we made our way to pick Jaden up and off to Lethbridge we went to go pick Colton up at the college. By the time we got there and got Colton it was 6:00 and the movie was at 6:30. It was sold out, CRAP! The next one wasn't until 9:40 so we went on an adventure! We got 3 pizza and pigged out and then went to Value Village to look for Pirate clothes and of coarse we got side tracked and ended up putting on everything BUT pirate clothes. Afterwards we went to Henderson Lake. I haven't been there since I was probably 5 so I was excited to play on the park that brought back so many memories. IT WAS GONE! I wasn't too disappointed though, because this park was way better. I must ask this question though, why do all the children in this decade get sweet parks, I'm seriously jealous because this park was sick. It's hard to even put into words you just have to go there. I'm not kidding I don't care how old you are you will have fun! You might have to ask some children how to use some of these new toys because we were a bit clueless, seriously for your own safety ask a child! (I made that mistake, there may or may not be a video out in the cyber world of me flying off of one of this crazy toys)

After the park on the way to the mall we enjoyed ourselves watching Christian sing Justin Bieber to people on the street (he has a slight obsession and I think secretly he wishes he was just like him). I think I got some really nice abs from laughing so hard at that boy. I love how he just doesn't care :)

Anywho! Here are some pictures!!!

Our sexy snake skin jackets

This was no ordinary net climbing thing, it spins!

Mad skill.

The man tree, I was denied access. Christian seemed to have thought it was funny.

Yeah so I'm kind of strong, I was holding him up.

Better Together

I was going to wait until the video was uploaded and ready to show to the world but I'm just way to excited! Why? Well here's a short story for ya.

Last night I got a call from Christian Burton begging me to go over to Briggs' house to listen to them sing and express my HONEST opinion on how they sound and to help them fix anything they need changed. Well I was out the door before he hung up and on my way. Thinking I was only going to be there for half an hour tops I found myself there for 3 hours listening to them sing this song over and over. It only got better and better and got me more and more excited for the talent show. It was so much fun jamming out with them and singing obnoxiously.

Today we planned on skipping 3rd period and practicing more and they asked Fielding if he wanted to sing with them. Long story short Christian and Fielding complete each other. Let's just say they sound Better Together ;) As soon as the video is on youtube I'll post it. I'm just not a very patient person. GET EXCITED!

Fears into thrills.

What's everybody's biggest fear when it comes to surgery? Being awake. Well that's the last thing I thought I'd be doing when I went into surgery. Being knocked out is what I had my mind set on but before I knew it I was asking my anesthesiologist for a spinal and we were in the OR jamming out to music and all having a good laugh. Next thing I knew I was laying on the operating table with no feeling from my waste down. If anyone has to get surgery on their knee I recommend being awake for it, it's seriously the coolest experience and I had a lot of fun. Now not so much, I hate not being able to do anything for myself and not being able to control my leg. It's the weirdest thing, it won't do a thing I want it to so I guess I just have to have a lot of patience and let it heal on it's own time. Until then I am completely useless.

Besties with ________ don't test these besties.

This weekend was like most of my weekends, that may sound like I didn't have a good time but I did!
My weekends usually go like this, I don't have a plan. I'd like to think if you don't have a plan then you'll never get disappointed, and I was raised learning to just wing it. Friday night I ended up at Dallin Low's house playing the good old game of 007 on the Wii for a good 2 hours. Honestly I really needed that time with those boys, Math had me so stressed and my head was a horrible place to be. I just needed to get away from  home so I did what usually calms me down. Hung out with boys. They underestimated my shooting skills I wasn't completely useless. 14 kills:) I'd say that's pretty impressive for me at least. On Saturday I woke up without a plan, I got dressed cleaned the house a little bit, read a bit and Dallin Klain and Stephanie showed up at my house and we hung out the whole night. Went for a slurpie run, attempted to watch a movie but somehow ended up at Pizza's in Cream with Charlie, Kenzie, and Jaden. Then we started our 10th Kingdom marathon. I can guarantee you will not know what this show is but it's the most strange/amazing show out there. In my opinion. I rather I not explain it because you'd think we were all crazy. Dallin said he didn't like it but he kept wanting to come back and finish it so I think we had him hooked, Jaden admitted that he was sucked into the 10th Kingdom's powers. So the following day, Sunday we continued watching it after having a fun dinner with the Cahoon's and a nerf war. After we finished our show we probably spent 2 hours in Kenzie's room talking and watching retarded youtube videos.

So a weekend with no plans became a weekend full of fun. I can't wait to see what next weekend brings, whatever it is. I'm ready for it:)

a spontaneous day

Today I woke up at a decent hour and headed into Lethbridge with my mom because needed to quickly do something and I wanted to keep her company. Before we made it out of town we stopped at the post office and there was a late birthday present there for me from my cousin Deanna. Mine and Mackenzie's most favorite treat, Muddie Buddies (Deanna makes them best). Then we decided we'd bring my brother's along to Lethbridge so we picked them up. We got to Lethbridge and while my mom was doing some "grown up stuff" me and my brother discovered the most amazing store I have never seen in my life in downtown Lethbridge. Some snowboard shop. I was in love. We spent awhile there looking around and all I wanted to do was go snowboarding, I couldn't keep it off my mind. We only went to Lethbridge to do this one little thing for my mom. Well next I met this little guy
Huntly Redford
The newest little one in the Redford family, that family just keeps getting bigger and bigger. No doubt he'll take after his dad and uncles and become a funny little guy. I can't wait to watch him grow up like his big sister London. After a long visit with Huntly and Megan we decided to go "home". We didn't go to far. I found myself shopping for bindings and new snowpants. I made the decision that I am going snowboarding tomorrow. Call me crazy but I love my snowboarding and I have to go at least once this year & the snow is SOOO good right now. So Stephanie if I end up injured you have full permission not to feel bad for me and tell me "I told you so".
